Partisipasi Politik Masyarakat di Negara Demokrasi: Studi Kasus Pemilu 2024 di Indonesia

Partisipasi politik masyarakat merupakan indikator penting dalam menilai keberhasilan demokrasi substantif, terutama di negara demokrasi seperti Indonesia. Pemilu 2024 menjadi momentum strategis untuk mengkaji dinamika partisipasi masyarakat dalam konteks demokrasi prosedural dan substantif. Penelitian ini memadukan berbagai perspektif: pertama, tantangan partai politik dalam memobilisasi kader dan sumber daya yang berkualitas, serta hambatan ideologis akibat pragmatisme politik yang mencolok sejak era reformasi. Kedua, peran Mahkamah Konstitusi sebagai penjaga demokrasi substantif melalui penegakan hukum progresif, yang dapat mendukung keadilan pemilu dengan kebijakan berbasis nilai, bukan hanya prosedur teknis. Ketiga, evaluasi pemilu serentak 2019 yang menunjukkan peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat hingga 81,97%, tetapi tetap menghadapi kendala teknis dan kerumitan yang memengaruhi kesadaran politik masyarakat. Berdasarkan analisis ini, penelitian merekomendasikan peningkatan kualitas penyelenggaraan pemilu melalui reformasi kelembagaan, edukasi pemilih, dan penguatan instrumen hukum untuk memperkuat integritas demokrasi di Indonesia.
